Palantir CEO Slams Prestigious Investor Michael Burry for Shorting Company Stock
05 Nov 2025 10:44
The stock price of American AI software company Palantir (PLTR.US) plunged 7.9% overnight (4th) before drifting lower by over 3% in after-hours trading.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp blasted short-selling investors during an interview with CNBC, specifically naming Michael Burry, the real-life inspiration for the movie "The Big Short", as Burry had previously disclosed in a filing that he held short positions in Palantir and Nvidia (NVDA.US).

Karp alleged that the two companies Burry is shorting are actually the most profitable, calling the behavior "super weird", and remarked that Burry is essentially shorting artificial intelligence.
